Productivity Analysis
Database design is the process of producing a detailed
data model of a database. This model contains all the
needed logical and physical design choices and physical
storage needed to generate a design in a specific
programming language.
The process of doing database design generally consists
of a number of steps which will be carried out by the
database designer. Not all of these steps will be
necessary in all cases, but most usually, the designer
must:
-
Determine the data to be stored in the database
-
Determine the relationships between the different
data elements
-
Superimpose a logical structure upon the data on the
basis of these relationships.
Requirement Analysis
Through meetings our designers determine the
requirements needed to run your database. In this process we
capture all data needed, including the discrete data
elements which must be stored. Once we have
determined the data that is required for your database
we can accomplish all of your needs. If we have
the data, we can do anything you want
Once
this process is complete the actual database can be
designed and implemented.
